Laser Skin Treatments

Below are the links to various Laser Treatment Procedure brochures available to our Patients at Heron Med Spa.

Heron’s MedSpa is pleased to offer a laser treatment that minimizes the appearance of scars in just a few easy treatments, without surgery or downtime.

This nonsurgical treatment option uses a fractional laser that is FDA-cleared for the treatment of scars, ideal for clients seeking to minimize the appearance of surgical scars on the face or body. It’s a fast, easy procedure that’s appropriate for any skin type, including very light and very dark skin tones.

Unlike surgical scar treatment that requires incisions, laser scar removal uses a fractional laser light to break down scar tissue and trigger healthy new tissue to form at the site so that the scar is more even in color and texture, and it blends more naturally into surrounding skin.

Clients who undergo the procedure can usually resume their normal activities immediately following the session, making this a simple procedure that fits today’s busy lifestyles.

1540 Fractional Laser (The only FDA cleared laser for this treatment) – Used for skin resurfacing, surgical scars, acne scars, and stretch marks. This allows customized treatments, high speeds, quick treatment sessions, and deeper penetration to reach tough conditions, such as scars, stretch marks, sun damage, spider veins, and rosacea.

MaxG  IPL  – This device operates through the use of light technology for the clearance of vascular and pigmented lesions. It includes a more uniform heating across the vessel, clearing the deepest facial vessels to treat melasma, acne scars, surgical scars, and stretch marks (Striae).

IPL is a common abbreviation for photorejuvenation  – its a mouthful.

Our Skintel Melanin Reader helps to determine the average melanin density of the skin prior to skin revitalization treatments (wrinkles and pigmentation). After determining how much melanin is in the skin will help the practitioner to choose the best treatment settings while minimizing the risk of over-treatment.

IPL Photofacial

IPL Photofacial is a remarkable and gentle treatment for troublesome rosacea, facial vascular redness, large pores, sun damage and hyperpigmentation, as well as preventative and maintenance treatment for general signs of aging. IPL Photofacial (IPL stands for intense pulse light) is a non-ablative therapies which means that it does not harm or remove the upper layer of the skin. Instead, it focuses on deeper skin layers to promote new collagen production and small vessels such as capillaries to improve skin tone, smoothness and appearance.
