BBLs offer a shapelier and more voluminous buttock through liposuction and fat injections.
BBLs are also known as butt enhancement surgery, fat grafting to the buttocks, butt augmentation and booty lyft.
The Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is a type of butt augmentation procedure which results in youthful, prominent, perky buttocks and a more sensual body profile. A popular procedure, BBL is referred to as a BBL with Lipo 360. Augmenting your buttocks using your own fat from the abdomen, love handles, and back, for example will give you the shape you want and desire.
The procedure is designed to fill the upper quadrant of your buttocks so that the butt appears lifted and perky. The resulting effect is that your profile appears more attractive and sensuous.
Fat transfer is most common in the buttocks. Fat is harvested via liposuction moving excess fat from other parts of their body and placing it into the buttocks and hips. Excess fat is collected from one area of the body, rinsed and injected into the buttocks. Only the best donor fat cells are re-injected back into your buttocks for augmentation. In order to get enough qualified fat, I must liposuction at least two to three areas of your body.
We expect only 50%-70% of the fat injected to be viable so over-injection is performed initially to achieve the desired final result. If it is determined that an individual has a limited amount of fat, Sculptra injections can be performed a minimum of 3 months after surgery to improve the desired look. Bottom line: there must be enough fat in other areas of the body for harvesting.
Candidates usually have these signs or symptoms
Patients should be in good health and have realistic expectations.
The average amount of fat that I inject into each buttock cheek is 500-600 cc. However, patients who have a generous fat distribution before surgery can expect to get up to 1000cc of fat for each cheek.
If the fat is harvested, processed, and injected correctly, the result should be long lasting. The procedure should not require touch ups or a second round of fat injections.
Patients often ask if they will lose the affect of the Brazilian butt lift if they lose weight. Losing 10% of body weight following a BBL should not affect the fat grafting.
